The Dorf, a 25-Piece sound collective around mastermind and jazzhead Jan Klare playing utopian beats & krautrock / jazz / trance / noise, is releasing 2 records simultaneously - six new tracks spread across two albums in two different formats, all recorded live in May 2014 with guests Caspar Brötzmann and FM Einheit (of Einstürzende Neubauten). "EviL features four pieces, while its twin, "EvyL, includes two further long tracks, among them a blistering version of Brötzmann's "Massaker". German jazz mag Jazzthetik describes the records as "'Motorik' rhythms like this - definitely delivered with a nod to krautrock - can be counted on to hypnotize the listener. Play it loud!" (May 2015). The Dorf is a big band, that plays monthly at the Dortmund jazzclub Domicil (Germany) lead by Jan Klare. Since November 2006 between 25-30 musicians come together to rehearse, eat and play a concert in the evening.
